Tyreek Hill is the NFL MVP, and there Shouldn't be an Argument!

The NFL MVP award is one of the most prestigious honors a player can receive. Every year, we reward the most valuable player to an individual who achieved something unprecedented and helped their team win games. This award is usually won by a quarterback, and the same will likely transpire this season. Though the QB position is theoretically the most valuable in football, some years, non-QBs bring more to the table and better fit the “most valuable” criteria. For this reason, Tyreek Hill should win the MVP over Brock Purdy, Dak Prescott, and Jalen Hurts...

Tyreek Hill is having the greatest wide receiver season ever, and for some reason, he's not even a top-three MVP candidate! The Cheetah has hauled in 93 catches for 1,481 yards and 12 TDs on the season. Hill is well on pace to shatter Calvin Johnson's single-season receiving yards record and could also dethrone Randy Moss' single-season receiving TDs record. Tyreek is doing something that no player in the history of the NFL has ever done, but we want to give the award to Brock Purdy, the new betting favorite, who likely won't even throw for 40 TD passes this season. Purdy has been excellent this season, but you can't tell me he brings more value to the 49ers than Hill brings to the Dolphins. Tyreek accounts for nearly 30% of Miami's total offensive yards, which is crazy for a WR on a winning team. The Dolphins are also in contention for the number one seed in the AFC, so Hill's efforts contribute to winning, unlike Megatron's 2,000-yard season.

Brock Purdy is having a tremendous season and should be in the MVP discussion. The 49ers are the Super Bowl favorites right now, and he is the QB of the best team in the league. But I don't think he is as valuable to the 49ers as Hill is to Miami. A lot of other QBs in the NFL could do what Purdy is doing with San Fran, but no receiver in the league would be able to replicate Tyreek’s value. At the end of the day, Purdy or another QB will win this award in February, but if there is a player that fits the word "valuable," it would be the Cheetah...
